Sublime w/Rome

When asked to describe Sublime to someone who hasn’t heard them before I always struggle. Do I say they are Reggae-rock? Surf-rock? Stoner-rock? Punk-rock? They truth is they are all of these tags and so much more. They are simply Sublime.

Hailing from Santa Barbara, California, the Rebelution boys play reggae with a pop flavour and with rumours of a UK tour coming up these are exciting times for the band.

New album Bright Side of Life released to much acclaim in the US and certainly proves Rebelution as one of the up and coming bands in the reggae-rock scene.

Easy Star All-Stars Interview

Described as the mother of all concept albums The Beatles “Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” is not an album for the faint hearted to cover but the Easy Star All Stars are not a band to let that put them off.

Easy Stars are the creative force behind Dub Side of the Moon (Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon) and Radiodread (Radiohead’s OK Computer).

Here Comes The Boom- Again

Sonic Boom Six, fresh off their successful stint on the festival circuit over the summer, are to tour once again in support of their latest album ‘City of Thieves’.

NZ Reggae, Dub Scene

As some of you may have been aware I have recently been in NZ for a spot of travelling, once there I discovered that NZ has a burgeoning music scene. Two bands that stood out were Katchafire and Fat Freddys Drop.
